Hi! I'm Jackie
“People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don't find myself saying, ‘Soften the orange a bit on the right-hand corner.’ I don't try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds.”
-Carl R. Rogers
I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor. I achieved my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Dayton. Professionally I've worked in a variety of settings; residential treatment programs, outpatient treatment, a University/College setting. I began my counseling and social services field journey working with survivors of domestic violence, who were also dealing with mental health and substance use disorders. My strong interest in breaking the stigma of addiction has led to working primarily with individuals dealing with substance use disorders, college age and beyond. While my career path has been centered on addiction treatment, I also have experience in anxiety and depressive disorders, trauma, women’s issues, relationships, and I have a specific passion for the Military and veteran population.
**I work with children, adolescents and adults, on an individual level.
Outside of being a therapist, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband, twin daughters, Goldendoodle, family and friends. I enjoy all things “Seinfeld, coffee, pizza & outdoors related.”
